Bonnie Rannald Brings the Southwest to France
For the second year, I am honored and excited to exhibit my Southwestern photography at the 50th Bièvres International Photo Fair on 2 June 2013 in Bièvres, France. Again, I will also be sharing Booth 50 with France's photographer, Lyza Sahertian, Ambassador to the European Capitol of Culture Umea2014.
The International Photo Fair was created in 1964 by the Photo-Club of Paris-Val de Bièvre and is organized by the city of Bièvres, which is just 9.34 miles (15.03 kilometers) from Paris. With over 300 exhibitors, the largest photography event in France attracts thousands of visitors, collectors and photographers who share the love and interest of the photographic arts.
Included in my scenes of the Southwest for this year's Photo Fair will be images of the bigger than life moon rising over mountain peaks and canyons, as in "Full Moon at Watchman's Mountain ".
Other scenes include the colorful reflections in calm streams that provide a refreshing oasis to life in the desert.
And as a tradition to the Southwestern United States, I have also included images of Nevada's wild horses running free across the range.

What
an exciting and interesting photo-adventure this day has been. I love
it when I am drawn to an area and not knowing what to expect I get
treated to new experiences.

Photography places me in the moment where I can share that moment in time. It becomes a life story as represented by my interaction with the scene. The happiness and beauty or the sorrow and strife; how I focus leaves a lasting impression that might touch the viewer on a spiritual level.
